In Matthew why does it say?

Matt 13:31-32: %26quot; %26quot;the kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed which…is the least of all seeds, but when it is grown is the greatest among herbs and becometh a tree.%26quot;

When the first error is that there are many smaller seeds, like the orchid seed; and second, mustard plants don%26#039;t grow into trees?

In Matthew why does it say?
The mustard grain. It is stated that the subject is “the kingdom of the heavens.” As shown in other texts, this can refer to some feature in connection with the Kingdom (even those falsely claiming to represent it) and is not limited to the approved membership of that Kingdom. Mt 13:47, 48; 25:1, 2.

The mustard grain was tiny and so it could be used to designate anything extremely small. When fully developed, some mustard plants actually attain a height of (10 to 15 ft) and have sturdy branches, thus virtually becoming “a tree,” as Jesus said. We are helped to identify the “tree” if we take note of the fact that the series of illustrations in which this one is included was introduced at Matthew 13:13-15 by a statement regarding a negative factor. It should also be noted that in the context “birds” are referred to in a negative sense; they are shown to represent “the wicked one.

Some today object that there are tinier seeds than mustard seeds. But Jesus is not giving a lesson in botany. Of the seeds that Galileans of his day are familiar with, the mustard seed really is the tiniest. So they appreciate the matter of phenomenal growth that Jesus is illustrating.

It%26#039;s a rapid-growing herb, to the seed or grain of which Jesus referred in an illustration about the Kingdom of the heavens and in pointing out that even a little faith can accomplish much.
Reply:Why do you misquote scripture??

1. A mustard seed was the smallest seed that the people in that area farmed at the time.

2. A mustard plant is not a %26quot;tree%26quot;. But he isn%26#039;t talking about a seed, he is talking about the kingdom of heaven. Which would do those things.

-Why are you concerned with our book?? I promise to never make you read it, so how is it you are so interested in what you obviously feel is wrong.
Reply:Palestinian mustard plants are large shrubs, sometimes up to 15 feet high, have you ever looked at the seed of the palestinian mustard plant?....................Next Bible question?
Reply:Did you know there are 140 types of mustard seeds?

Also, how did you get least to translate to the absolute smallest?
Reply:Good question.

Maybe it%26#039;s suppose to be one of those things that you%26#039;re can%26#039;t answer.
Reply:whoops...you weren%26#039;t supposed to know that!
